ABOUT

Hi, I’m Arianna.

A licensed counselor and clinical supervisor helping adults, teens, and parents find more steadiness, clarity, and presence in their everyday lives.

My Why

Before I started my counseling career, I taught 7th grade in Cleveland, Ohio through Teach For America. The school environment was eye-opening for me. It showed me a lot about myself and about those around me. I learned that forming genuine connections is where I find the most meaning in my work. In others I saw just how challenging emotional regulation can be (for those learning and leading) and how so many loud behaviors are really a sign of silent emotional distress. Above all, I witnessed how in every setback, humans have a great capacity for resilience.

I gained other insights as my counseling career progressed. I began to see that central to supporting children was supporting their care team. Providing check-ins and sharing tools with parents was often just as important as offering a safe space to a child themselves. I’m reminded of this every day as a mother with every repeated phrase and behavior. Being a mom to two toddler boys has shown me that patience and presence are ongoing practices, that a small pause before responding can make a huge difference, and that children follow our lead.

Today, my therapy practice is built on what I have learned over time. Real change starts with genuine connection, and supporting adults is one of the most meaningful ways to support children. I work with those navigating anxiety, mood challenges, ADHD, relationships, and life transitions. I aim to help my clients find a grounding, supportive space to cultivate self-compassion and build effective coping skills.

My communication style is friendly and direct. I'll laugh with you and I’ll always be honest with you. I take time to really get to know my clients, their stories and their present lives. This helps me see what’s happening for them more clearly and to help them pave a path to a life with more ease.

In therapy sessions we'll focus on practical tools you can actually bring into your daily life. That might look like slowing down a racing mind, regulating tough emotions, or figuring out how to show up for the people you love while also honoring yourself.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative and tailored to you. I draw from mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities to ensure our work together is specific to what you individually need. My ultimate goal is to help you leave each session with more clarity, ease, and something tangible that you can use in your time between sessions.

A space for everyone

The Mind's Harbor is committed to being a warm, affirming, and anti-oppressive space. I welcome clients of all races, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, religions, and family structures.

I believe therapy should be a place where you don't have to explain or defend who you are. If there's something specific about your experience or identity that you'd like me to understand from the start, I invite you to share it whenever it feels right to you. Your feedback is always welcome.

Outside of the office

You'll usually find me doing laundry, and if I'm not doing laundry, I'm probably actively thinking about doing laundry. Otherwise, I'm with my husband, our two boys, and our dog, Corduroy. Together, we love the farmer's market and any excuse for a sweet treat. I love exercise, meditation, time outside, and reading.

A fully virtual practice

All sessions take place over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You can sign-on from wherever feels most comfortable. A quiet room at home, your office with the door closed, your car during a lunch break. Wherever you can find a little space to breathe.

Virtual therapy means no commute, more flexibility, and the ability to work together from anywhere in Maryland. Many clients find it easier to show up authentically and consistently from their own space.

Let's see if we're a fit.

The best way to know is through a short conversation. I offer a free 15-minute consultation with no pressure, just a chance to talk through what you're hoping for in the therapy space.
